itsTypo

Anyone who types a lot and is tired of fixing typos: founders, writers, support and sales teams, developers, students. If you spend the day in email, chat, docs, tickets or notes, itsTypo cleans up each word as you go. Built for people who care about privacy, since everything runs on your own device. Available now on Mac.

• Write at full speed in email, Slack, docs, tickets and CRM notes without stopping to fix typos
• Type shorthand on purpose (tgthr, thnks) and let it resolve to the real word
• Press Tab to finish a word once it sees where you're going
• Clean up a whole messy draft with ⌃⌥R, or dictate with ⌃⌥D, transcribed on your device
• Keep customer and company text private: nothing you type leaves your device

Built-in autocorrect checks words against a dictionary. itsTypo also resolves deliberate shorthand, fixes missing and extra spaces, reads the sentence around the word, and offers completions you take with Tab. Unlike cloud writing assistants, it runs a small model on your device (about 0.8 GB, fine with 8 GB of memory), so nothing you type is uploaded. And when two answers are close it holds back: a missed fix beats a wrong one.

• Fixes typos and shorthand the moment you finish each word
• Tab to finish the word you're typing
• Stays quiet when it isn't sure, tuned against wrong fixes
• ⌃⌥R rewrite and ⌃⌥D on-device dictation
• Never acts in password fields
• Works offline, open source (MIT)
